Drew Davey - Arranger and Caption Head

Drew Davey is the Percussion Caption Head and arranger for the Stoughton High School Marching Band in Stoughton Massachusetts.  He is also the director and writer for the Stoughton Winter Percussion Ensemble.  Drew serves as the Tenor Technician for the Bishop Feehan Indoor Marching Winter Percussion group, and has also served as the Front Ensemble technician for the Dedham High School Marching Band. 

Drew has spent the last two years with the Citations Drum and Bugle Corp from Burlington Massachusetts where he was the Front Ensemble Technician and then served as the Tenor Tech. 

Drew has studied with Mike Mangini, Martin Vazquez Ralph Peterson, Dave DiCenso, Victor Mendoza, Kenwood Dennard, Egiue Castrillo, Skip Hadden, Tony “Thunder” Smith, and Richard Flannigan.  Having studied with some of the best musicians in the different styles of music, Drew has a strong knowledge, which has served him in being a better teacher and writer.  Drew is finishing his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music.

As a musician, Drew formed, rehearsed and maintained the back-up band for Virgin Records artist “Ferras”.  Drew is also a sought after studio musician because of his excellent stylistic interpretation and for his timing and “pocket”.  Drew has recorded demos with Ferras, theLikely, and Madjkut which has had many songs used in television. 

Drew is an Educational Artist for Vater Percussion and a Silver Level Artist for Evans Drumheads. 

Malika Stepaziak - Snare Tech
 

Malika Stepasiuk began her drum corps career with the East Coast Junior Jazz in 1999, winning the Eastern Mass Drum and Bugle Corps championship.  She began marching with East Coast Jazz in 2002.  While with the Jazz, she won a national silver medal at the DCI World Championships in 2004 and in 2005 she was crowned Division II champion as well as Division II percussion champion.

In high school, Malika won numerous local and regional percussion awards while marching with the Crimson Tide Winter Percussion Ensemble.  In 2003, the Tide placed second at WGI Nationals in Dayton, Ohio, narrowly missing a national championship.

Malika is currently the percussion director and arranger for the Triton Regional High School (Byfeild, MA) marching band and winter percussion ensemble.  She has also served as the battery technician for the Tewksbury Memorial High School (Tewksbury, MA) marching band and winter percussion ensemble and was the battery arranger for the Everett Jr. High School percussion ensemble.  While with Tewksbury, the drum line grew into a strong, competitive line and went undefeated for the 2006 winter season.

Malika has studied under the direction and tutelage of DCI Hall of Fame member Charles Poole, Jr. and Brian Flahive, E. Scott Heiser, Andy Carpenter, Matt Tavares, Paul Rennick, Brandon McNutt and others.  She is currently attending the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and is pursuing a degree in English and History Education. 

"Bill"  Holden - Front Ensemble

Bill Holden will be the front ensemble arranger and technician. Bill holds a bachelor of music degree from New England Conservatory in Boston.  He just finished a two-year tenure with The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps in the front ensemble. He is also the co-caption head for percussion at Enrico Fermi High School Marching Band in Enfield, CT and the staff arranger for the Sonic Brass Quintet.
